Why this Website Exists

This is the story of a company who first ripped off its client and eventually threatened him because he complained

Good information for consumers about providers of services has always been important. Even more so today, where not only companies but even individuals often engage in international business transactions and impersonal deals over the Internet.

When a company does not live up to its reputation, potential customers should know about it. This website is for them.

When I contracted Allied Pickfords for a transport of household goods from Europe to Asia, I made that decision based on a reputation as being a professional and reliable service provider. Reality couldn't have been further from it.

If a shipping company bloats its volumes and makes the customer pay for it, people should know about it.

If a shipping company is not able to produce decent evidence for the volumes they make clients pay for, people should know about it.

If a country manager of a shipping company accuses its clients of incompetence and ignores mountains of evidence in support of the client's complaint, people should know about it.

And finally, if a country manager of a shipping company threatens his own client with legal action because he doesn't like complaints about an evidently overblown bill, people should know about it.

Allied Pickfords did all of the above and the purpose of this page is to let people know about it.
